About Michael Wilson: Flash Developer - Web Designer - Graphic Designer

Michael Wilson

I am a web design & development student currently engaged in a work experience while gaining my diploma in Digital Media Design at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (now NAIT). I am 21 years old, born in Saskatchewan, and raised primarily in St. Albert, Alberta. There's not much to say about me other than the regular things such as I love movies, music, friends, and enjoying life as it comes to me. There actually is more to me obviously, but nothing worth mentioning via simple copy on the internet, a sit down for coffee or tea would be much more enjoyable.


My core skills lay in development with a focus on usability and aesthetics, this means I am able to provide rich content on demand, with pleasing and eye catching designs to the user. My mantra is simply: "To develop and create intuitive systems, in order to provide ease of use, relevant information, and enjoyment to the client."


Thinking

My knowledge of web technologies is entry level, however, I am building up a repertoire of skills in various computer languages. At this point, I am well versed with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP & MySQL. I've also spent a fair bit of my years developing skills accross a variety of mediums including photography, film & motion graphics, design, and creative writing.


The Future

I strive to be the best person I can be to the best of my abilities. I've always had a strong passion for learning and teaching, communicating opinions and differences, facts and fiction. I hope to accomplish my goals in communication and technology by providing the necessary skills to my employer, and their clients.


My ideal work environment is that where I am surrounded by designers and communicators, creative thinkers and knowledgeable leaders, people that love to think and teach as much as I do.
